4 Times Drake Embraced His 'Rightful Wife' Sexyy Red

Since their first encounter in July 2023, the bond between Drake and Sexyy Red has become a topic of discussion online.

Here's a look at instances where the Toronto-born artist has publicly expressed admiration for Sexyy Red.

Drake, 37, first crossed paths with Sexyy Red during his "It's All A Blur" tour in 2023, as reported by The Shade Room. Last July, while performing at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, Drake noticed Red among the audience. Not only did he give her a shoutout during his performance, but he also leaned in to give her a kiss on the cheek.

Following their encounter at the Barclays Center, Drake took to his Instagram Story to share a snapshot of himself alongside the St. Louis rapper. 

"Just met my rightful wife @sexyyred," he wrote with the text: "If my girl see ya'll backstage being thirsty it's gonna get smokey."

On Valentine's Day, Drake dropped the music video for his track 'Rich Baby Daddy,' featuring SZA and Sexyy Red.

The "SkeeYee" rapper was included in the video, where she played Drake's expectant spouse.

In the music video, the pair hosted a lively house party with SZA in attendance. Drake lovingly kissed Red's belly during various scenes. 

Sexyy Red, born Janae Wherry, announced her real pregnancy in October. In January, she candidly discussed her choice to conceal her pregnancy while touring.

During that period, Sexyy Red expressed her admiration for her "wealthy companions" on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Moreover, the 25-year-old expressed her gratitude towards Drake in a heartfelt message. In a video, she proudly displayed a stack of cash and four Chanel bags, which were generous gifts from the Canadian rapper.
