2024 CMT Music Awards Red Carpet Looks: 8 Worst Dressed Celebrities

The biggest stars in country music gathered together for the CMT Awards/Country Music Television Awards on Sunday.

While the red carpet witnessed stunning looks, it also saw some fashion and styling fails. Here are some of them.

1. Kylie Frey

It was the "Horses in Heaven's" first red carpet, but Glam didn't seem amused with her outfit. Instead, the outlet described her styling choices as subpar.

Frey arrived at the event in a shiny "floor-sweeping" green dress paired with a cowboy hat. The outlet said a change in her accessories "would have made all the difference."

2. Ashley Cooke

The 26-year-old country singer may have won the Breakthrough Female Video of the Year award, but her blue satin look -- matching bra top and maxi skirt -- did not win a netizen's heart.

"Ugh, another beach outfit worn to an awards show, Ashley Cooke. CMT Awards are usually family-friendly, I don't want my girls watching women dress this way," the netizen tweeted.

3. Keith Urban

The List described the country music legend's outfit as a "regrettable divorced dad look." His choice of outfit, comprising gradient plaid polo, pants and black and white shoes, reportedly "didn't quite have the same star power as his great 'Straight Line' performance."

4. Brandi Cyrus

The actress-DJ arrived at the event in a two-toned denim minidress, which she paired with black strappy sandals.

However, entertainment journalist Nicki Swift described her red carpet look as a "wardrobe fail," noting that the black accents of the dress "didn't flow together at all."

5. Cody Belew

The "Charlene" artist arrived on the red carpet with a gold suit, cropped jacket, sheer black top and a sparkly corset but "completely missed the mark," according to In Touch Weekly.

Meanwhile, Nicki Swift said that his "waist was snatched, but his outfit wasn't."

6. Priscilla Block

When CMT tweeted a video of the "Hey, Jack" artist posing on the red carpet, some netizens responded with comments such as "ridiculous," "horrible" and "gross."

"She's the Lizzo of CMT. Have some respect for yourself and dress appropriately," another netizen tweeted, commenting on her lacy, body-hugging black ensemble.

7. Madeline Merlo

The country-pop singer seemed to blend in with the CMT Awards' red backdrop and red carpet with her outfit choice -- a crimson red kimono minidress and rosette-topped heels.

Glam described her look as something that "might be great for relaxing in one's bedroom -- but not so much at a major awards show."
