With Once Upon a Time entering its third season, there will be new, untrustworthy mermaids as the main characters travel to Neverland.

Lana Parrilla, who plays Regina Mills/Evil Queen on the show, told TVGuide in a Monday report about some of the mermaids that she and her fellow voyagers might be facing off against.

Parrilla described the group of creatures "beautiful, full-bodied and not the nicest mermaids. They're more like sirens." Enstars previously posted the preview video of Ariel/The Little Mermaid in season 3. It is unclear if Ariel will be a part of the group of mermaids Parrilla describes.

It has also previously been reported that Regina will find love in season 3, and Parrilla elaborated on what her character's new love interest would be.

"Regina's love has to be very manly, and Robin Hood is that," Parrilla said, when asked if Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) would be her love interest. "I'm getting very excited." However, TVGuide reported that Regina's newfound love would eventually take a tragic turn.

One of Regina's fellow shipmates, Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle), will be separated from his love, Belle (Emilie de Ravin), but that doesn't mean they won't share the screen together.

De Ravin promised that in season 3, her character and Mr. Gold would have "a dreamlike reunion/interaction," which could lead to Belle traveling to Neverland to reunite with him.

Fans will also learn the backstories of many characters in season 3, such as Tinker Bell (Rose McIver), the Blue Fairy (Keegan Connor Tracy) and Nova (Amy Acker).

Season 3 of Once Upon a Time premieres Sunday, Sept. 29 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
