Tom Holland is not peddling "Spider-Verse" cryptocurrency and NFTs.

Marvel and Disney news account Cosmic Marvel reported on X, formerly Twitter, Tuesday that Holland's X account was allegedly hacked after a series of unusual tweets suddenly appeared on his page.

Fans were left confused when Holland, who hadn't used his X account since June 2023, seemingly announced a partnership with cryptocurrency platform Binance Tuesday.

In what appeared to be a crypto scam, the since-deleted post urged fans to register on a website to get early access to supposed "Spider-Verse"-themed cryptocurrency and NFTs.

The tweet on the Spider-Man actor's account read: "I am excited to announce my partnership with @Binance in the launch of Spiderverse!"

"Register to get early access to $SPIDER coin and Spiderverse NFTs," it continued.

This was followed by a post featuring a selfie of an unidentified man wearing a mask that had been pulled down to his chin.

"Would [you] kiss me while I hang from my web xxx," the since-deleted post read, referencing a scene from the."Spider-Man" movies starring Tobey Maguire.

Holland's bio was also changed to display a link related to the alleged partnership.

The link and both posts have since been taken down from the actor's account.

However, fans did not waste time posting jokes and memes about the alleged hacking.

"Tom Holland, there's a stranger in your house!" one user tweeted.

Another joked, "They done hacked Tom Holland, was the password ilovezendaya9196?"

"Guys, Tom Holland does not own the rights to Spiderverse. Marvel does. This is clearly some kind of hack or other scam," a third user pointed out.

Some were just relieved that Holland was not actually peddling NFTs and cryptocurrency.

"Tom Holland got hacked and not actually slinging nfts at us... LET'S F**KING GOOOOOOOOO," one person wrote.

Holland has not publicly addressed the alleged hacking.

The "Uncharted" actor, who has 7.1 million followers on X and 65.8 million followers on Instagram, has rarely used social media in recent years and is not known to sell things like NFTs and cryptocurrency through these platforms.

In August 2022, Holland announced a prolonged social media hiatus for his mental well-being.

"I find Instagram and Twitter to be overstimulating, to be overwhelming," he said in a video at the time. "I get caught up, and I spiral when I read things about me online. And ultimately, it's very detrimental to my mental state. So I've decided to take a step back and delete the app."

Holland has since returned to X and Instagram, though he appears to be more active on the latter.

Marvel has offered Spider-Man NFTs in the past, having released a collection in partnership with the digital marketplace app VeVe in 2021.

According to the New York Post, movie theater chain AMC and Sony Pictures also gave away NFTs to 86,000 fans who pre-ordered tickets to "Spider-Man: No Way Home" that year.
