Celebrities and music producers reacted to the death of Television personality Dick Clark on Wednesday.

His publicist said Clark, 82 suffered a heart attack and died at Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California.

"Rest in Peace my good friend Dick Clark. A pioneer who’s mark on American culture will be felt forever," tweeted music producer Quincy Jones.

Producer L.A. Reid wrote "Dick Clark's profound contributions to music, television and popular culture will reverbate throughout time. R.I.P. Mr. American Bandstand."

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest tweeted "I am deeply saddened by the loss of my dear friend Dick Clark. He has truly been one of the greatest influences in my life."

TV personality Simon Cowell wrote "Very sad to hear about Dick Clark. A gentleman. And inspired millions."

Nancy Sinatra tweeted "Dick Clark gave my generation a musical identity and I can't remember my life when he wasn't in it. Ever grateful, my old friend."

Pop singer Janet Jackson tweeted "Dick Clark changed the face of musical television. He was wonderful to many artists including our family. We will miss him. God bless."
