Despite hitting the stage for a lively performance of Made in the USA, Demi Lovato looked a little more sleepy just hours before the Teen Choice Awards 2013.

The Heart Attack singer uploaded a personal video, which showcased herself without makeup.

"Was sooooooo sleepy yesterday ‪#‎TCAs‬," Lovato captioned her Keek video, which she uploaded on Monday Aug. 12.

In the video, Lovato isn't wearing makeup, as she paces around her bathroom. The fresh-faced singer, who appears to have just woken up, is yawning as she tries to talk to her fans. It is clear she is too tired to act excited about the upcoming red carpet event.

Thankfully, the 20-year-old took to the stage hours later, giving a performance that had everyone on their feet. She wore black leather pants, a cropped leather jacket over a black and white T-shirt and black heels. She surprised the crowd by having Nick Jonas play the drums during the set.

"No matter how far we go, I want the whole world to know/I want you bad, and I wont have it any other way/No matter what the people say/I know that we'll never break," she sings in the chorus. "Cause our love was made, made in the USA."

The song's music video was released in mid-July and it praised the brave American troops. At the time of its release Lovato wrote on Twitter, "I dedicate my video to all of the troops, anyone who has passed away over seas and to this INCREDIBLE country that I'm so thankful 4."

The X Factor judge was nominated in the category of Choice TV Personality- Female alongside Heidi Klum (America's Got Talent), Erin Andrews (FOX Sports), Cat Deeley (So You Think You Can Dance) and Carrie Ann Inaba (Dancing With The Stars). Lovato's song Heart Attack was nominated for Choice Single: Female Artist and the singer herself was nominated for Candie's Choice Style Icon.
