Country-singing power couple Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton may take their marriage in the road.

Lambert and Shelton may be two on the biggest names in country today but the couple have largely kept their relationship from feeding into their touring schedule. However, this looks like it will change in the future.

"That's a big step to do a big tour together," Lambert told radio station WWPJ.  "We have Faith [Hill] and Tim [McGraw]'s shoes to fill and Soul2Soul was huge and we want to make sure that we pick the right time."

While the couple's separate musical endeavors have lead to disparate sounding results, Lambert claims that as they grow loser together in their relationship, they seem to also grow closer musically, their personalities tempering each other's work.

"I think the more we've grown, the more we've grown closer we started to go together musically a little bit more," Lambert explained. "So I think it'd make more sense for a tour."

The Pistol Annies singer has taken the stage several times with her husband, but only for onetime appearances. Meanwhile, Shelton's popularity continues to rise following his powerhouse year with The Voice and his recent release, Based on a True Story. Perhaps the couple will hit the road together when they are both at their peak.
