Katt Williams joked about how compensating Black Americans for more than 200 years of slavery would benefit white Americans during his new comedy special, "Woke Foke."

Months after going viral for his interview on Shannon Sharpe's "Club Shay Shay" podcast, Williams captivated fans with a one-hour comedy set that was streamed live on Netflix Saturday night.

The comedian not only made jokes at the expense of celebrities and political figures such as Nick Cannon, Robert De Niro, Hunter Biden, and former President Donald Trump but also discussed reparations owed to Black Americans.

"Why now, Katt? Thanks for asking, white friends. I'll tell you why now," Williams told the crowd at YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California, as quoted by the Daily Beast.

He cited the billions of dollars in aid the U.S. has sent to Ukraine amid its war with Russia as proof that the country has the money to pay out reparations to Black Americans.

"We just gave $100 billion to the Ukraine. And God bless the Ukrainians. But off the record? We don't know them n****rs like that!" the comedian said. "The truth is they over there getting their a*s whooped over there. You could [have] gave that money to the Black people of Los Angeles, and they'd have went over there and whooped their a*s in two weeks."

Williams then quipped that while reparations would "help" the Black community, they would bring more benefits for white people.

"It looks like reparations is for Black people. But it's not. It's for you, white friend," he added. "You think America been great before? Wait till we got a country full of rich n****rs. This fitting to be the greatest country in the world, b***h!"

Williams went on to say that paying out reparations would not only put the racism talks to bed but also give white people a pass to use the N-word.

"White friend, don't you want to get slavery behind you? You never had a slave in your motherf*****g life. Get this past you. You pay them reparations, racism is dead. Get it past you, white friends. Here's what they won't tell you, white friends. You pay them reparations, you can say n****r any time you want to, do you hear me?" Williams concluded, drawing a roar of laughter from the audience.

Williams received praise on X, formerly Twitter, for his call for reparations and his comedy set.

"Katt Williams said N****S NEED REPARATIONS. [Damn] right," one X user wrote.

Another fan commented on Williams' special, writing: "This s**t was very raw and clean. Way to secure your bag, good sir. This s**t was funny from beginning to end [100 emoji]."

"Katt Williams is one of the funniest people to ever live," a third fan wrote alongside a clip of Williams talking about influencers during his new comedy special.

However, some were not impressed, with one X user calling the show "a snooze fest" and Williams' "worst special ever."

"Damn I didn't laugh once during that Katt Williams special. I really wanted to. It felt all over the place and outdated jokes. At least he's getting paid," another claimed.

Williams' "Woke Foke" marked the second stand-up comedy special to be streamed live globally by Netflix following Chris Rock's 2023 special, "Selective Outrage."

The new special is part of the ongoing Netflix Is a Joke Fest, which runs through the first two weeks of May.

"Woke Foke" comes two years after Williams' Netflix comedy special "World War III," in which he called out entertainers such as Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish as well as politicians such as President Joe Biden.
