Death Row Records Alum Danny Boy Claims He Slept With Then 24-Year-Old Mary J. Blige At 16
Former Death Row Records artist Danny Boy claimed he was groomed by and eventually slept with 24-year-old Mary J. Blige when he was a teenager.
During an interview on YouTube's 'The Art of Dialogue,' the singer detailed alleged events that took place after 'The Source Awards,' describing an alleged night between himself, Blige, Suge Knight, and Misa Hylton, back when he was "15 or 16 years old."
After the awards show, Danny Boy alleged he was invited to Knight's hotel room, when he allegedly saw Hylton, now 51, sitting on a bed with a sheet wrapped around her, and Blige allegedly sitting on the couch before they heard a knock at the door.
According to him, the knock sent Blige, now 53, running for cover behind a couch, allegedly assuming it was her then boyfriend K-Ci of the R&B group Jodeci. He alleged Blige was laying down and placing her head in his lap while sitting on the couch. The two allegedly went into a nearby room, according to him.
"She kinda like... backed up against me. And everytime she backed up against me I would move away. From that time I had an opportunity to go out to New York and visit her a couple more times," he alleged.
Watch Danny Boy, real name Daniel Stewart, describe the alleged incident at the 5:00 minute mark.
"That's why I was kinda confused when I heard Kurt saying that Mary was Pac's girl. Because at that time she was my girl," he alleged. "I'm 15, 16 years old, and she's flying me in to see her."
He described being overwhelmed by Blige's star power at a young age, claiming he tried "to show her that she ain't phasing me."
"I don't even know if you supposed to say you had — [are] you supposed to say you had sex with people on camera?" he asked. "Anyway, whatever. I'm not quite sure."
"Relations," the host chimed in from behind the camera. "Yeah, we had relations. That's a good way to put it," Danny Boy alleged. "I said it in the book, I was saying it because it was my 'Instagram moment'... I should say, before Instagram came out."
"Had it been cameras or something around, or being able to make a post, I probably would have tried to make it something very serious with her. Especially after being there more than five times," Danny Boy alleged.
The former Death Row Records singer is known for singing the hook on the late Tupac Shakur's hits 'I Ain't Mad at Cha' and 'Picture Me Rollin.'
Details relating to the alleged scandal was detailed in his book, 'Stranded on Death Row: The Autobiography of Danny Boy Steward' in 2017.
