The cast and crew of NCIS: Los Angeles started shooting season 5's third episode on Tuesday.

Titled "Omni," according to the Examiner, the episode is written by Kyle Harimoto and will be directed by Larry Teng. Both men are fairly new to the CBS show, Teng having directed one previous episode while Harimoto is making his NCIS: LA writing debut.

The episode will involve quite a bit of driving, according the cast's recent tweets.

"Afternoon spoiler: Kensi will be behind the wheel of a car that belongs to another #NCISLA agent .You won't believe .Coming up in EP.503," tweeted executive producer John P. Kousakis.

As fans know, Sam (LL Cool J) is the character most possessive of his car and he proably wont appreciate it if Kensi (Daniela Ruah) takes a spin in the driver's seat.

Kousakis claims the upcoming episode will have its fair share of fast cars while some filming will be conducted at Irwindale Raceway.

Meanwhile, both the cast and crew have been busy on Twitter as they posted behind the scenes photos from the filming of episode 502. Check out the slide show above to see what the actors have been working on.

As the photos shoe, Nate (Peter Cambor) will be on hand during the second episode. According to Entertainment Weekly, there will be a three-month time jump between the premiere and 502 when Nate will be brought in to help the team cope with the effects of "Descent" and "Ascension."

NCIS: LA returns to CBS on Sept. 24.
