After much anticipation from his fans, Eminem announced Wednesday that his new album will be released in the fall and he dropped the record's first single, titled Survival.

"Wasn't ready to be a millionaire, I was ill-prepared. I was prepared to be ill though, the skill was there," he raps on the song. "I'm f---ing back again with another anthem, why stop when it doesn't have to end? It ain't over till I say it's over. Enough when I say enough."

The track was released in an unexpected place: an online trailer for Activision's game Call of Duty: Ghosts.

"You won't wanna miss the @CallofDuty #GhostsMP event at 10:30am," Eminem tweeted on Wednesday.

The rapper also described the new track, which features Skylar Grey, in a pre-taped clip that was aired during the event.

"The song's about fighting back and it seems like it fits Ghost perfectly," the 40-year-old said.

5 Facts To Know About Eminem's Upcoming Album

Slim Shady's forthcoming album will be his first release since 2010's Recovery. The album, which went multi-platinum and rose to No. 1 on Billboard, features the hits Not Afraid and the Rihanna collaboration Love The Way You Lie. According to those in his circle, Eminem's upcoming album will be different than his previous six. Alchemist, Eminem's DJ, told MTV in June that the album is "clearly going to further territories."

In the same month, former D12 member Mr. Porter was asked to describe what the album will sound like on Twitter and he replied, "Have not heard anything like it."

Eminem also promised his fans that there is more to come.

"I'm going to be a big part of the game, my new song's in it and we video dropping soon for it too," the Detroit native also said during the event clip. "Stay tuned we got some more surprises in store for you too."
