Mariah Carey showed off a stunning post-baby body on the cover of Shape Magazine's May issue and revealed aspects of her weight that she was reluctant to talk about before.

Carey who appears posing in a bikini, said she lost 30 pounds in three months and credited Jenny Craig’s eating plan - for which she is an ambassador- for her weight-loss.

The singer also admitted to have put on around 70 pounds when she was pregnant with her twins.

"But if you look at photos of me when I was pregnant, you'd say, 'Wow, she gained 9,000 pounds!' A lot of it was water weight because I pretty much had head-to-toe edema, which is very painful," Carey, 42 told the magazine."

"Luckily, all the swelling went away fairly quickly after the babies were born. Then I had about 30 more pounds to drop. I have such empathy for people who need to lose a lot of weight, because I know what they're going through. I remember thinking at the time, 'I'll never look or feel the same again.'"

Carey gave birth to her twins on April 30, 2011.

Still Carey didn't reveal her current weight.

In the past Carey has been reluctant to talk about her precise weight. The diva has said she doesn't weight in a scale but rather measures her weight by dress sizes.

Exercise Routine

Carey also credits her exercise routine for her weight loss and explained it now consists of getting and staying toned.

Among her routine exercises are hour-long walks a few times a week and 45-minute aquatic exercises three or fours a day, the singer said.
