Former model Gia Allemand was declared brain dead Wednesday afternoon and as her family and friends mourn her loss, many fans remember her as a reality star on The Bachelor and Bachelor Pad.

The 29-year-old competed on season 14 of The Bachelor, trying to win over the affection of Jake Pavelka, and season 1 and 2 of The Bachelor Pad. Pavelka told People he had to pull his car over to the side of the road because he could not stop crying when he learned Allemand had died. Allemand, who was taken off life support Wednesday after an apparent suicide attempt in New Orleans, was "an angel," he said.

"I am in complete shock and devastated to hear the news about Gia," Pavelka added. "She was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. And a very dear friend. My heart goes out to her family during this very difficult time. We have lost an angel today."

Pavelka and Allemand went on their first one-on-one date in episode 4 of The Bachelor's 14th season. The New York native went on the back of Pavelka's motorcycle and then they played hide-and-seek in a vineyard and ended their date with a picnic that included a game of Spin the Bottle.

"The only thing going through my mind at the moment is how lucky as I," she told the cameras.

Allemand made it to the final three, with Vienna Girardi ultimately receiving the final rose.

In season 1 of The Bachelor Pad, Allemand told Wes Hayden that she wanted him to be the last man standing at the end of the game. They teamed up together and Hayden tried romanticizing her, shown in the clip below. Allemand came on the show with a boyfriend waiting back home, but Hayden said if she was single there would be "a hell of a chance of romance."

"Even though we're not together, it's nice to wake up and see you," Hayden told Allemand, to which she later told the camera, "If I would be tempted in the house, Wes would be the guy."

Allemand walked off season 2 of The Bachelor Pad when she thought she was betrayed by people she thought were her friends also competing on the show. She cried as she packed to leave the Bachelor house and said "Everyone is so sneaky and so fake. I've never met such devious people in my life."

"I'm not gonna plot and scheme with people, it's not who I am," she added.

Allemand, who was competing for $250,000, told host Chris Harrison that she would rather take herself out of the competiton and know that she played it honestly and that everyone deceived her.

Allemand and Hayden kissed in the finale episode when all the cast members came back to speak with Harrison.
