Usher, Justin Bieber, Chris Brown and Pitbull were announced among the performers on the "Today" show summer concert series 2012.

The free concerts will open with a performance by Usher on May 18 at the Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.

Justin Bieber is scheduled to perform on June 15 and Chris Brown on June 8.

The 2012 series also features rock bands Maroon 5 and Train, as well as newcomers Hot Chelle Rae in their first morning show concert.

Crowd-pleasers Pitbull and Flo Rida will join the line-up, as well as country stars Kenny Chesney, The Band Perry and The Zac Brown Band.

The concerts will also be featured online through Pandora radio stations NBC Today Rock, NBC Country and NBC Today Pop, the network said in a press release.
