Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kendall Jenner's secret boyfriend has a hidden past that reportedly has her mother Kris Jenner worried.

The mother and daughter fear Julian Brooks may become suicidal in the future because his father committed suicide at the age of 47, a source  told the National Enquirer. Dexter Brooks died after he shot himself in the head. The aspiring Victoria's Secret model knows of her boyfriend's family secret but is concerned he might follow in his father's footsteps and take his own life.

"Kendall is totally smitten with Julian, and she's so terrified he might suffer the same fate that it keeps her up at night," the source said.

The anniversary of Dexter's passing is later in August and Kendall is unsure if he could handle it because of the timing -- Julian was recently suspended from the University of Nevada-Reno football team due to an unidentified "violation of team rules," said the insider.

Kendall's mother Kris, the Kardashian family matriarch, is also reportedly concerned about her daughter's beau.

"Kris is concerned because Julian's dad committed suicide," another source told the publication. "She doesn't know what kind of men­tal problems he had and whether they could be hereditary." 

Rumors of Kendall's relationship with Brooks began when she wrote to him on Twitter in May, "Can't believe it's been a whole year." Star magazine reported in July that the reality star/model and the college football player are high school sweethearts and "each other's first loves." Another report revealed that Brooks plays for the University of Nevada.

Brooks was last spotted with Kendall while hanging out at her father Bruce Jenner's Malibu home during the Fourth of July weekend.
