Duchess Kate First Appearance in September Since Prince George Birth [PHOTOS]

After giving birth to Prince George Alexander Louis on July 22, Kate Middleton will return to work in September. 

British media reported Thursday that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are scheduled for an event in London on Sept. 12 staged by the Tusk Trust, a conservation group of which Prince William serves as the patron. 

While William, 31, has already returned back to work at his RAF base, the event will mark 31-year-old Middleton's first appearance since she gave birth to the little boy. 

The event is an awards ceremony to honor leaders of wildlife conservation; one of the new awards, for lifetime achievement, has been named in honor of William, the Prince William Award for Conservation in Africa.

The Tusk Trust charity, is said to be a favorite of the Duke and Duchess, The Daily Mail reported.

Middleton has yet to show another glimpse of her post-baby since she revealed Prince George to the world outside of St. Mary's hospital a day after she gave birth. 

Meanwhile, William, attended the Anglesey Show on Wednesday and made his first public speech since Prince Georgie's arrival. 

"Catherine is sorry that she cannot be here today at the County Show," he said of his wife.  "But she and George would have loved to have been here. He's pretty loud but of course very good looking!"

He continued to gush about his little boy, saying, "I have to say that I thought Search and Rescue duties over Snowdonia were physically and mentally demanding, but looking after a three week-old baby is up there!" he joked.
