Comedy guy Seth MacFarlene is dating Pitch Perfect star Alexis Knapp, according to reports.

"They've known each other and have been friends for years," a source told People magazine about the pairing. "She's very bright and loves science like him. She's down-to-earth and sweet."

"It's been going on for a little while. It's very casual but they are hanging out and he is having fun with her," another source told E! News.

Knapp lent her voice for an episode of McFarlane's Family Guy last season, titled The Valentine's Day in Quahog. The 24-year-old Knapp is most known for playing Pitch Perfect's Stacie, the promiscuous member of the a capella group the Bellas.

MacFarlane was most recently dating Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) but the couple called it quits in March. Knapp has a 2-year-old daughter, Kailani, from her former relationship with Ryan Phillipe.

Earlier this week the 39-year-old creator of Family Guy also confirmed that the sequel for Ted is on and that he was aiming for an April 2015 release. This bit of news was revealed when MacFarlane responded to a fan's tweet inquiring about Ted 2Mark Wahlberg will renew his partnership with MacFarlane in the sequel, reprising his role as Ted's best friend John Bennett.

In other news, the 2013 Oscar host seems to have offended Asian-Americans with the pilot of his new live-action comedy series Dads. The Media Action Network for Asian-Americans sent a letter to Fox, reprimanding the racist representation of Asian-Americans in the pilot and also requesting that it be re-shot.

MANA pointed to instances where characters on the show call Asians "Orientals," and said of Chinese people, "There's a reason 'Shanghai' is a verb." They were also critical of the portrayal of the stereotypical image of a sexy-Asian schoolgirl in one of the scenes.
