Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are one of the most famous couples in the world and when the two walk down the red carpet, all eyes are on them.

The stars began their relationship in 2005 after meeting on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Pitt and the 38-year-old now have three biological children together named Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox, as well as three adopted children named Maddox, Zahara and Pax Thien.

The strength of their union was expressed when Jolie wrote about her mastectomy in an op-ed for The New York Times in May. In the piece the actress addressed her appreciation for her fiancé.

"I am fortunate to have a partner, Brad Pitt, who is so loving and supportive," she wrote. "Brad was at the Pink Lotus Breast Center, where I was treated, for every minute of the surgeries. We managed to find moments to laugh together. We knew this was the right thing to do for our family and that it would bring us closer. And it has."

Jolie decided to undergo surgery after she discovered that she carried a gene that aggrandized her chances of getting cancer. Her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, passed away in 2007 from ovarian cancer.
