The FBI is investigating allegations that Miss Teen USA 2013 Cassidy Wolf was the victim of a cyber-crime case after a hacker stole pictures from the webcam on her computer and then tried to extort her to make the pictures public unless she provided nude pictures, reports The Associated Press.

It's unclear what type of pictures the hacker obtained.but Wolf revealed to Fox that the images were things you would do "in the privacy of your own room."

Wolf, 19, who was crowned Miss Teen USA last Saturday, told NBC's Today show website that she was hacked and extorted around four months ago. She explained that she was notified by Facebook that a person in a different state tried to log into her Facebook account. Soon after, she received an email from a stranger who had photographs of her in her bedroom, according to Today.com.

"I wasn't aware that somebody was watching me [on my webcam],' she said. 'The light [on the camera] didn't even go on, so I had no idea," Wolf said.

The FBI is investigating the allegations and states that Wolf is not the only victim but that there are more than a dozen alleged victims in the case, reports The Associated Press.

Wolf, who is from Temecula, California, was crowned Miss Teen USA on Saturday in the Bahamas. She has been raising awareness about cyber crime traveling to local schools in her hometown.

"This all happened before I had a title,'' Wolf told Today.com. "I was just a normal girl in high school. This next year I'm just so excited to be able to share my story and raise awareness in young teens about what can happen."

She's been also active in giving tips to avoid hacking events.

"I had the same password for years," she said. "But now seeing that someone can hack into my stuff just by downloading an incorrect link, it's very important to change your passwords, delete your cookies."
