Expect to see a bunch of new faces on season 2 of The Following, the most recent additions to the cast include Jessica Stroup (90210), Tiffany Boone (Beautiful Creatures) and James McDaniel (NYPD Blue alum).

Stroup will be playing Max, an NYPD officer who is also the niece of Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon). Max works in the Intel Division and reconnects with her uncle, proving to be a valuable asset for him.

Boone will be playing a young girl who is the latest inductee of the Joe Carroll's (James Purefoy) murderous cult. It was announced at Comic-Con in July that Purefoy will be reprising his role as Carrol in the new season.

McDaniel, an Detroit 187 alum, will take on the role of Ken Phillips and fill the void left by the character Debra Parker (Annie Pariss). Parker was killed off in the finale of season 1. Phillips runs an FBI task force in New York.

Valerie Cruz (Homeland, True Blood, Alphas) will be playing detective Gina Mendez, an NYPD cop who works closely with Mike Weston (Shawn Ashmore) to track a serial killer in New York. Connie Nelson (Gladiator) is also coming on board as a love interest in Ryan's life: art dealer Lily Gray.

Sam Underwood (Dexter) has signed up for an antagonistic role on the show as Luke, a very complex and dangerous individual who may or may not become a member of Carroll's cult. Underwood is also guest starring on Homeland's new season as a friend of Dana's (Morgan Saylor).

The show returns on Fox in January 2014.
