ASAP Rocky, who was one of the rappers targeted in Kendrick Lamar's controversial Control verse, revealed that he's not angry with the song's lyrics.

"What he did, it was something that has never been done in a long time," the rapper said during an interview with the radio show Hot 97. "People can't tell you nothing about that verse but those lyrics and that's okay. He ripped it."

The New York native went on to praise Lamar and called him "one of the most talented" in the industry today. ASAP also said that the other rappers who were referenced in the song shouldn't be upset with the name-dropping.

Big Sean debuted Control, the new song which features Jay Electronica and Lamar, earlier in August. On the track Lamar crowns himself one of the best rappers in the game along with Jay Z, Nas, Eminem and Andre 3000. Although he's from the West Coast, he also deems himself the "King of NY." Lamar's self-proclamation was the only part of the song that didn't sit well with ASAP.

"That king of New York sh--, you smoking crack. You crazy," the rapper also said during his radio interview. "I got a crib in L.A. I'm doing the same venues, if not bigger venues...I'm not gonna go say I'm the king of L.A. I could, at least I live there."

The Compton native also called out several other hip-hop artists, including J. Cole, Wale, Pusha T, Meek Millz, Big KRIT, Drake, Tyler the Creator and Mac Miller. Lamar even added Big Sean and Jay Electronica to the list, both of which provide their vocals on the track.

"I'm trying to make sure your core fans never heard of you," he rapped about them. "They don't want to hear not one more noun or verb from you."

Some rappers who were referenced in the song responded to the 26-year-old via Twitter.

"If I can't do no more nouns or verbs ima start comin with the wildest adjective bars that anyone has ever heard," Mac Miller tweeted on Tuesday.

"I hear u loud and clear," Pusha T also wrote to Lamar.

Others who weren't even mentioned on the song recorded responses to Lamar, including Joe Budden and Joell Ortiz.
