Fans waiting to see what happens next for Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) in season 4 of Game of Thrones don't have to be totally in the dark.

Daenerys had an eventful season this year, with the sacking of Astapor and conquering the city of Yunkai. The self-proclaimed Mother of Dragons was last seen in the season 3 finale being carried by the slaves of Yunkai chanting "Mhysa" over and over, which translates to "Mother."

Daenerys will conquer another city in season 4: the city of Mereen. This will be her final sacking as she travels across Slaver's Bay and will be just as successful as her previous two conquests.

Game of Thrones Season 4 Spoilers: Sam to Become New Maester?

Things won't be as positive for Dany among her troops. She will discover that Ser Jorah had been spying on her for the late King Robert. Though Jorah begs her to forgive him, Dany decides that she can no longer trust him and banishes him from her troop.

Assuming the series goes along with the books on which it was based, Daenerys should end season 4 as Queen of Mereen. She will discover that the city of Astapor has become ruined after freeing all the slaves and decides to stay in Slaver's Bay to ensure order.

Game of Thrones Season 4 Spoilers: What Will Happen with Jon Snow & Ygritte?

Daenerys should escape season 4 relatively unscathed, which is a rarity among the characters on Game of Thrones. When the series eventually adapts book 5 in the series, A Dance With Dragons, Daenerys will have much more to do, as she is one of the main focuses of the entire novel.

Season 4 of Game of Thrones is expected to premiere in spring 2014.
