On Dirty Pop With Lance Bass, his SiriusXM show, the singer and former band member of N'Sync addressed rumors about the band reuniting after 11 years and suggested that it might not actually happen.

He explained that rumors of a reunion started with Justin Timberlake winning the video VMA Vanguard Award and the other band members being spotted together hanging out in Miami. The band members supported Timberlake as he performed with Jay Z at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami and were spotted in the audience on Aug. 16. Timberlake's wife Jessica Biel and his mother, Lynn Harless, were also seen hanging with the guys in the VIP section.

Though he was really touched by the support of fans and the fact that N'Sync was trending on the Internet again, Bass seemed to suggest that the rumors were baseless.

"Justin Timberlake is getting the Michael Jackson [Video] Vanguard Award this Sunday at the awards, so of course people are automatically going to think we're going to be there performing... I knew these rumors were going to fly," he said. "We all came down here [to Miami] except for J.C.-J.C. stayed in California, he had to work...Joey, Chris and myself went to go see Justin's last show with Jay Z at the [Sun Life] Stadium last Friday, and I even took a picture of it, it's on my Instagram...I think that's what started the rumor that there's going to be this big reunion with 'N Sync."

Bass then talked about the positive attention received from fans of the band, hoping to see the five singers get back together on stage.

"It's amazing to see the reaction out there on Twitter and social media," he added. "It's so nice to see because when we ended things ten years ago, there was no social media, there was no Twitter, but it's so cute to see how many people are supporting and 'N Sync was even trending."

Timberlake, is set to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards. The New York Post reported that the 32-year-old will be joined on stage by J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fantone and Chris Kirkpatrick.

Timberlake has not commented on the reunion rumors, opting to instead focus on his own music. He released the complete tracklist of The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2 on Aug. 14.
