The new cast of Survivor's 27th season has been revealed in addition to numerous twists that will be added to the game.

The subtitle of Survivor's 27th season is Blood vs. Water, which means there will be ten returning contestants playing against their family members or significant others. They will be split up like this as well, with all 10 returning players on one tribe and all newbies on the other.

Fan-favorite Rupert Boneham is participating for the fourth time after appearing in Pearl Islands, All Stars and Heroes vs. Villains. This time he will be competing with his wife, Laura.

Two winners will be competing to see if they can take home an additional $1 million. Survivor: The Australian Outback winner Tina Wesson is participating with her daughter, Katie Collins. Survivor: Panama winner Aras Baskauskas is returning with his brother, Vytas.

Going back to the very first season, Gervase Peterson from Survivor: Borneo is returning to play again with his niece, Marissa. This is the first time a Borneo contestant has been brought back since Survivor: All Stars.

Three Survivor: One World castaways are coming back. Kat Edorsson is returning to play with her boyfriend, Big Brother 12 winner Hayden Moss. Moss is making history as the first person to play both Survivor and Big Brother. One World villain Colton Cumbie will be back with his fiancée Caleb Bankston. Finally, Monica Culpepper is returning with her husband, retired NFL player Brad Culpepper.

Tyson Apostol is returning for the third time (Tocantins, Heroes vs. Villains) with his girlfriend, Rachel Foulger, while Candice Cody (formerly Woodcock) is also returning for the third time (Cook Islands, Heroes vs. Villains) with her husband, John Cody.

Rounding out the cast is Laura Morett from Survivor: Samoa, who will be playing with her daughter, Ciera Eastin.

As for the numerous twists that will be involved with this season, many of them will involve the return of Redemption Island. The twist, which was only featured in Redemption Island and South Pacific, lets players who have been voted out compete for a shot to get back in the game.

This season, when players are voted out, they have a chance to swap places with their loved one on Redemption Island if they feel that their loved one is better suited for the challenge to get back in the game. This means that if Rupert is voted out and sent to Redemption Island and thinks his wife Laura is better suited for a particular challenge, he may let her participate in it.

Additionally, the hidden immunity idol will be more of a complex twist this season. Players who win the challenge to stay on Redemption Island can give a clue to the location of the hidden immunity idol to one person still in the game.

Videos of all 20 castaways can be seen here.

Survivor: Blood vs. Water premieres Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
