After three seasons of building sexual tension, NCIS: Los Angeles' Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) finally worked up the nerve to kiss his partner Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah).

As the CBS show moves into its fifth season, Deeks and Kensi will be faced with the prospect of actually having to discuss their growing feelings for each other. However, first the team must rescue Sam (LL Cool J) and Deeks from torture at the hands of Siderov (Timothy V. Murphy).

"It's not just her partner she's saving; it's this guy she might have a future with," Ruah said of her character's mind set as the premiere, "Ascension," begins, according to TV Guide.

Unfortunately, Deeks will be having a bit of difficulty dealing with the effects his unneeded and extra painful dental surgery.

"There are changes in these relationships because of these catastrophic events," Olsen told TV Guide. "Kensi and Deeks have one of the most heartbreaking scenes we've ever seen them do. It's one of the few times that Deeks is able to... says exactly what he means."

The LAPD Detective's inability to communicate his feelings is the reason he wound up kissing Kensi so suddenly in the first place.

It appears the NCIS partners will be saddled with a case of bad timing.
