In the wake of Teen Wolf's mid-season finale, fans are left with a whole new set of questions.

While Scott (Tyler Posey) well on his way to becoming the True Alpha he was destined to be and Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) gone off to parts unknown, viewers are curious as to what will become of Beacon Hills' other residents, particularly Peter Hale (Ian Bohen).

The last scene was pretty clear on the fact that Peter is still itching for another taste of Alpha power. Could he take down Scott in an effort to regain his former status?

"He's kind of a master manipulator and very Machiavellian. He wants to reclaim the throne. He wants to get his power back. He wants his dignity and his pride back," said series creator Jeff Davis, according to Entertainment Weekly. "So we're going to see how he works his mind games in the next half of season 3....I think he's got a good plan ahead."

Now that the Nemeton has regained some of it's power, more supernatural beings will be flocking to the town, such as the Kitsune (Arden Cho). This leaves plenty of room for a new big bad to enter the scene in season 3b. Could it be Peter or is there something more interesting coming to the Californian town?

"But he's not necessarily the big bad in the [second half] of the season. He's someone who's always there to take advantage of the situation," Davis teased fans, according to Entertainment Weekly. "So he's definitely an antagonist but we're going to have some other villains next season who are quite different from villains we've seen before."

It looks like there could be a lot of new players on the board when Teen Wolf returns Jan. 6.
