Fallen ex-New England Patriots superstar Aaron Hernandez has been indicted on a first-degree murder charge in the killing of a Boston, Mass. man who was found dead in a North Attleborough industrial park on June 17.

Hernandez will also face five gun charges in the death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd.

According to The Boston Globe,The former NFL player made an appearance at a 10-minute hearing on Thursday afternoon in Attleboro District Court, which is where the prosecution team told the judge that the grand jury had indicted him.

The case will be dismissed from the District Court following Hernandez's arraignment in Superior Court on the indictment, stated Judge Stephen Ostrach. He made another hearing inside his courtroom for Aug. 30 and ordered that Hernandez continue to be held in prison without bail.

Ernest Wallace of Miramar, Fla., a friend of Hernandez, was also indicted on a charge of being an accessory to the respective murder, said the Bristol County Superior Court clerk's office.

If he is convicted, the former NFL tight end could face life in prison without the possibility of parole. Wallace faces a maximum sentence of seven years behind bars. Hernandez is also being investigated for his alleged involvement in a 2012 double homicide in the Boston area.
