Blake Shelton has always been very open about his love of drinking.

The country singer's Twitter feed is constantly filled with references to alcohol and Shelton recently claimed that his The Voice costar, Adam Lambert, should be as drunk as him.

The National Enquirer recently sited sources claiming that the performers habit had gotten a little out of hand and wife Miranda Lambert was packing him off to rehab.

"Miranda is not only afraid for Blake's health, she's just as scared that when he's hitting the sauce someday he'll stray, or have an accident," a source told the magazine.

However, Shelton has become to denying wild rumors regarding his personal life. The singer took to Twitter with his usual good humor to dispel the recent accusations.

"Latest tabloid says Miranda sent me to rehab... Incorrect. She sent me to the liquor store!!!" Shelton wrote on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Gossip Cop quotes an inside source as saying that the gossip tidbit was completely "false."

Even the 37-year-old musician's family doesn't believe his love of alcohol is even quite as drastic as he makes it out to be.

"He likes to make people think he's drunk, but I've never seen that boy drunk in my life," she Shelton's mother, according to Men's Journal. "He likes to make people think he's drunk, but I've never seen that boy drunk in my life," she told Men's Journal."

If his drinking is becoming a problem, it's certainly not affecting his work. Shelton won The Voice for the third time last season and has a widely successful new album out, Based on a True Story.
