Wedding planner Tiffany Nieves-Cook has added defamation of character and other claims in her lawsuit against Nene Leakes for unpaid services.

Nieves-Cook explained in a recent interview why she decided to up the ante in her lawsuit. She said in the 25 years of wedding planning services she has provided, she has never had trouble with a client. She also said Leakes' Twitter rant about her has affected her business and reputation and described it as "devastating."

"She has 1.3 million [Twitter] followers. To say such negative things about me, it can only be devastating," Nieves-Cook told Rollingout.com. "When you Google my name right now, there are 300 pages saying I am a scam artist, among other things. Again, we [Tiffany Cook Events] deal with a high-profile clientele. Generally, I am all over the Internet for the fantastic things that I do. It is absolutely devastating."

Nieves-Cooks's attorney explained further about adding the additional claims.

"My client, Tiffany Cook, was contracted to plan the wedding and she performed as agreed under the contract," Nieves-Cook's attorney Reginald Greene told Rollingout.com. "We filed an amended complaint to add claims for libel, defamation of character, invasion of privacy - false light, and punitive damages, specifically against NeNe Leakes, for [statements] that were directed at my client after the lawsuit was filed. That's the basis for the amended complaint, adding specific defamation claims against NeNe Leakes."

TMZ reported on July 27 that Cook's company, Dream Design Weddings, filed the initial a $2.5 million lawsuit that week. According to the initial lawsuit, Leakes made the down payment of $18,750 but did not pay the outstanding amount of over $1 million. Cook--who planned Leakes' co-star Porsha Stewart's 2011 wedding to Kordell Stewart--sid the reality star owes her an additional 15% of the total budget of $1.8 million ( $270k), design fees ($889,900) and reimbursement for round trip flights from Florida to Georgia ($1,750).

Leakes' reacted to the news with a series of rants on Twitter the day TMZ report was published. The Glee actress wrote: "What wedding planner gets a million $ 2 plan a wedding! We n the wrong business! Please show me a contract I sign! Show me a check I wrote u," she wrote.

She also wrote that she intends to countersue and shared a photo of herself with her husband Gregg and Tony Conway, who planned her wedding.
