Macklemore & Ryan Lewis took the stage to accept Best Hip Hop Video for Can't Hold Us at the MTV Video Music Awards 2013.

They beat out the following nominees: Drake, "Started From The Bottom"; Kendrick Lamar, "Swimming Pools"; A$AP Rocky feat. Drake, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar, "F--kin' Problems"; J. Cole feat. Miguel, "Power Trip"

Tonight the band will take the stage at the Barcelys stage for the MTV Video Music Awards to perform their hit single.

"What an amazing opportunity to take a great song with a great message and give it that platform," said the pair's manager Zach Quillen, according to MTV. "That's one of the things I'm most proud of, being part of that song and history and getting it to the audience that the VMAs provides."

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis racked in the nominations this year. Up for Video of the Year, Best Hip Hop Video, Best Video With A Social Message, Best Cinematography, Best Direction, and Best Editing, the rappers had three songs - Same Love, Thrift Shop, Can't Hold Us- represented in the Awards.
