Taylor Swift took home the Best Female Video award for I Knew You Were Trouble  at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night.

"I feel really lucky," said Swift before calling out her ex-boyfriend.

"I also want to thank the person who inspired this song who knows exactly who he is because now I got one of these," she said. "Thank you so much."

After her speech, the camera panned to Swift's ex, One Direction crooner Harry Styles. He smirked and smiled at the cameras, and clapped for Swift.

Earlier this year, Swift confirmed the hit song was inspired by Styles, whom she dated earlier this year.

"It's not hard to access that emotion when the person the song is directed at is standing by the side of the stage watching," she said of her Brit performance where she belted out I Knew You Were Trouble -- first in a white wedding dress before ripping it off to rock black leather shorts-as her ex-beau was there in the audience.

Swift won the Best Female Video award, beating out top singers like Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Pink and Demi Lovato.
