Orange is the New Black star Selenis leyva talked to Enstars Sunday about season 2 of the Netflix series, explaining what is ahead for her character Gloria Mendoza and her fellow inmates.

Orange Is The New Black is set to kick off its second season at some point in 2014. Leyva said the cast is currently filming in Kaufman Astoria Studios and also shoot in Rockland County, N.Y. With fans curious to know what to expect in season 2 from lead character Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) and the eccentric group of inmates at the federal penitentiary, Leyva said "expect the unexpected."

"We have a lot of wonderful things that's very early on in the season so I don't wanna spoil it," she added, "but one thing that is for sure: if you thought the first season was amazing, you're in for a big treat for the second season."

In season 1 Piper finds conflict among her inmates but also a sense of camaraderie. At first she feels out of place in the penitentiary and asks to switch to a different prison. However, she later develops a sense of belongings and a promo trailer for season 1 featured her telling her mother "I am no different than anybody else in here. I committed a crime. Being in here is no ones fault but my own."

Even so, season 2 promises a load of drama among the women.

"Well you know, prison, there's always drama and there's always the possibility of some love, at least for the moment," Leyva said, addressing in specific her character's love life. "There's a lot of great stuff coming up. It's really early on in the season so we're getting the scripts as we speak. It feels like Christmas, cuz it's great stuff coming."

The show's cast includes Jason Biggs, Laura Prepon, Kate Mulgrew, Danielle Brooks, Uzo Aduba and Natasha Lyonne. Leyva added that the co-stars all get along well on and off-set.

"We are in love with each other," she said. "Like even today, I received two emails from one of our producers getting one of our field trips. We do field trips, you know, we go walk the Brooklyn bridge and we're planning a haunted house trip for Halloween. We really are like a family and I hope it stays that way. Everyone is so amazing and just good people."
