A new trailer for the Joseph Gordon-Levitt romantic comedy, Don Jon, was unveiled at the MTV VMAs on Aug 25.

Gordon-Levitt portrays Jon Martello Jr. aka Don (a modern-day Don Juan) and Scarlett Johansson plays Barbara Sugarman, one of Don's love interests.

The trailer features them making out capturing the sensual tug and pull with tight shots of the duo kissing and necking, intercepted by a conversation they are having right outside Sugarman's hotel room.

"It's not time for that yet," Sugarman said to Don. "I don't know your family, I don't know your friends, I want to meet your family."

Don, taken aback by the suggestion, and expressed disconcertion by saying, "Our families?!"

"Don't you think it's better when it means something?" Sugarman responded.

The teaser ends with Johansson lingeringly letting go of Don and closing the door on him.

The film follows the story of Don, who has earned the nickname because of his highly promiscuous lifestyle, objectification of women and addiction to porn. It explores his eventual dissatifaction with porn, which leads him to seek out a more gratifying sex life. He starts to see things differently with the help of two women.

The film is directed and written by Gordon-Levitt and marks his directorial debut. Tony Danza, Julianne Moore and Brie Larson also star in the movie, which will be released on Sept. 27, according to a Deadline report.
