Melissa Gorga released new music Sunday, Aug. 25, the same day she attended the MTV Video Music Awards 2013.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star wrote on Twitter she was looking forward to attending the leading music awards ceremony and also announced her new song titled Never Let Me Go.

"Big day! Going to the VMA'S & my NEW single #neverletmego is officially on iTunes!!" Gorga wrote.

She sought fashion advice from her followers on Twitter the day before the awards, tweeting, "What to wear to the VMA's this weekend?? It has to be something @mrbradgoreski would approve of."

Gorga first discussed her new single Never Let Me Go in June. She revealed she decided to take her music career to the next level by working with renowned music manager Johnny Wright. She and husband, Joe Gorga, are putting her music out independently.

"I started working with [music manager] Johnny Wright, who's pretty amazing," she told Wetpaint at the time. "He works with the best of the best. To have [Johnny] take me under his wing and lead me in the right path and in the right direction, I'm very excited about it! I just recorded a new song with him."

Wright has worked with Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, and Justin Timberlake, to name a few. Timberlake mentioned Wright during his acceptance speech when he accepted the Michael Jackson Vanguarde Award on Sunday at the VMAs. Melissa was so excited about the shout-out that she mentioned it on Twitter.

"Yeah! @jtimberlake thanking the man @JohnnyWrightWEG & @WEGMusic! Congrats Justin!!!" she tweeted.

Melissa's new single Never Let You Go is available for purchase here. Her first book, Love Italian Style: The Secrets of My Hot and Happy Marriage, will arrive in stores in September.
