Robin Roberts is finally back from her vacation in Hawaii, but she won't be heading back to Good Morning America right away. She will be spending time with her family, to observe the anniversary of her mother's death.

Robin's mother, Lucimarian Roberts, died on Aug. 30, 2012 at the age of 88.

"Home from Hawaii. Fab vaca! Emotional milestone week ahead, so off @GMA to be w/fam. See u soon. Blessings," Robin wrote on Twitter on Aug. 25.

Fans poured out their support, wring to the Good Morning America anchor on Twitter. "Will be happy to see you back but take all the time you need..we all miss u," wrote one fan.

Robin wrote back: "Thank you, XO."

Robin even reached out to another fan. "Everyone's support is a comfort," she tweeted.

Last year, Robin was with her mother in Mississippi at the time of her death after leaving GMA, a day earlier than she had planned to depart the show to begin an extended medical leave for treatment of the bone marrow disorder MDS.

After receiving a bone marrow transplant from her older sister and enduring several rounds of intense chemotherapy, Robin went into recovery and recorded the whole process for her viewers. She triumphantly returned to her anchor desk in February of this year.

For the last few weeks, Robin has been on an extended vacation to Hawaii. She had been tweeting photos to her fans as she relaxed on the beach, played tennis and dined along the beautiful waterfront.

Robin plans to return to GMA the day after Labor Day, where she'll be back to a five-day a week schedule.
