Casting rumors for the film adaptation of E.L. James' Fifty Shades of Grey continue to unfold as Fright Night's Imogen Poots is now reportedly being considered to star as the shy, college graduate Anastasia Steele.
According to Cinemablend, the 24-year-old English actress has emerged as a strong potential choice for the highly coveted role.
With her natural beauty, flawless skin and experience playing the girlfriend role in several of her movies, Poots has most of the ideal attributes for the role. While her hair would need to be darkened in color, the actress' mesmerizing blue eyes and age also serve to make her a strong potential suitor for the part.
Poots aside, other notable names that have come up in the Steele chatter include Dakota Johnson, Mila Kunis and Alexis Bledel, to name a few.
Fifty Shades screenwriter Kelly Marcel, who's currently working on the script, said that she'd be staying true to the content of author E.L. James' books with lots of sex and raunchiness. Only time will truly reveal who'll ultimately become Ana.
The highly anticipated movie is slated to launch on the big screen on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2014. Be sure to check back for more of the latest info on the racy flick.
