Jenni "JWoww" Farley and her fiance Roger Mathews may have put their wedding plans on hold -- but that isn't stopping them from wanting to start a family.

At the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, the Jersey Shore star dished about her baby fever and why she's looking to adopt.

"We want to have our own -- but I do want to adopt a child at some point," JWoww told EnStars at the 2013 MTV VMAs.

JWoww revealed that she wants to adopt because both her mom and her Jersey Shore co-star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi were adopted.

"I want to give a child a real chance to experience life and give them affection and love that they wouldn't have otherwise," the reality star said.

Farley and Mathews, whose relationship was documented on Jersey Shore, announced their engagement in September 2012. The couple planned to tie the knot the following spring, but unforeseen circumstances forced them to postpone their nuptials. Mathews, a New Jersey native, lost his house when Hurricane Sandy hit in October 2012.

"We've looked at a few venues, but we're in no rush," Mathews told Enstars. "We're in a good place. That's all that matters." 

JWoww agreed. "Wedding planning is stressful, so we're just taking our time," she said.

Back in February, JWoww revealed that while she was unsure of her wedding date, she has an idea of what she wants to wear.

"I know I want a very tight corset princess dress," she told OK! magazine. "And I love the fifties black and pink feel so maybe baby pink for the bridesmaids and black suits for the guys with pink ties."
