Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, the season 11 premiere episode of NCIS, is full of juicy drama that involves Ziva David and Richard Parsons.

The photo (above), released by CBS, shows Colin Hanks' character, Richard Parsons, standing next to Leroy Jethro Gibbs, played by Mark Harmon. The two appear to be speaking to another character who can't be identified in the photo.

CBS also described the episode's plot. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot focuses on "an explosion at a D.C. event that results in a casualty connected to the agency." This event alters the way Parson feels about Gibbs and the rest of the NCIS gang. Additionally, Anthony "Tony" DiNozzo and Timothy McGee investigate the dangerous situation without their badges.

A melancholic teaser also hit the web, in which DiNozzo says "Talk to me Ziva, where are you?"

The video also reveals that an antagonist is attempting to wipe out the NCIS team and Ziva is the next target.

"Don't worry Tony, we will be okay," Ziva later tells Tony.

Cote de Pablo's Departure Was Her Decision

NCIS is currently looking for a character to replace Ziva David, who is played by Cote de Pablo. The character's name is reportedly Bishop and she is set to appear in the show around January.

The new character is described as "bright, educated, athletic, attractive, fresh-faced, focused and somewhat socially awkward," as reported by TV Line. "She has a mysterious mixture of analytic brilliance, fierce determination and idealism. She's traveled extensively, but only feels comfortable at home."

However, she won't be the only new character. The third episode will introduce a woman in her 50s who is close to retirement. The character has known Gibbs from the time Mike Franks was the head of Major Case Response Team.

"So we're going to bring in people like that and have some fun with different characters," Executive Producer Gary Glasberg told the news outlet about the upcoming season. "And then, hopefully, when people are comfortable enough, one will walk in and be The One."

Season 11 of NCIS premieres on Sept. 24.
