Jessica Walsh and Timothy Goodman of 40 Days of Dating had gone M.I.A on their website for a while but promised to resume their posts on Sept. 3.

The experiment ran from March through April and the 40 dates were up on April 30. They posted about every date and documented details of the day and their reactions -- filling out a questionnaire, videos from the day, illustrations and more. Their write-ups were posted after the experiment ended. The last post detailed their 36th date, which took place on April 26.

Enstars spoke with Walsh and Goodman, creators of the project, to find out why they had to take some time off. Walsh confirmed that the duo will indeed be resuming posts on Sept. 3 and the last post, which will reveal the fate of their relationship, will go up on Sept. 6. They will follow through with their commitment by disclosing the details of their last four dates, which took place between April 26 to April 30.

They wanted more time so that they could visually invigorate the presentation of the project, which was also a key element as both Walsh and Goodman are graphic designers.

"We launched the blog without finishing the artwork for the posts. We thought we'd have enough time to do this as we went along, but we didn't expect the blog to go viral, " Walsh explained via email about why they got offline for some time. "With all the press and media inquiries, along with our full time jobs, we needed extra time to finish the videos and art for the last few days. It also helped give us time to figure out what we want to do next with it, since we've had numerous inquiries about movie / book / tv possibilities."

Goodman also cited lack of time and the unanticipated attention -- they recently signed on with the Creative Arts Agency -- as reasons for taking time off. They needed to take a breather and also ensure that they delivered a great finished product that would satisfy fans. He also mentioned that another essential member of the team, who works behind the scenes and helps them produce the videos, needed to take a break too.

"Our video partner is helping us do the last video which includes our Disney World date. That video wasn't finished yet and he had to go on vacation, so we just decided that we've got to take a break," Goodman said in a phone interview.

Stay tuned to EnStars for our ongoing interview series with the pair, as they spill more secrets about 40 Days of Dating.
