Jay Z released the video for his Justin Timberlake assisted track, Holy Grail, via Facebook on Thursday. With over 17 million Facebook likes, Jay Z is the first artist to release a video exclusively through the social network.

"What we're doing with Jay Z today is really exciting and we think emblematic of the evolution of music and how musicians can connect with their fans," head of content partnerships, Nick Grudin, said in a statement. "And we think that is particularly evident in Jay Z's approach here, which will really allow him to go direct to a massive and instant global audience."

Justin Timberlake, who has over 25 million Facebook likes, also shared the video on his page.

The video, directed by Anthony Mandler, includes visuals of a classic Mike Tyson boxing match against Buster Douglas in 1990. The fight marks the first time in Tyson's career where the heavyweight champion was knocked out.

"Bright lights is enticing but look what it did to Tyson, all that money in one night, thirty mill for one fight but as soon as all the money blows, all the pigeons take flight," Jay Z raps about the boxer in his song.

Interestingly, certain lines from the song are slowed down in the video, including Timberlake's lyric, "why I love it so much." In the end of the clip, Jay Z somberly sits on a chair as the screen fades to black.

The song appears on Magna Carta... Holy Grail, Jay Z's first solo album since 2009's The Blueprint 3. The rapper's record debuted at No. 1 on Billboard, selling 528, 208 copies in its first week of release. His record even managed to sell a little more than experts initially predicted.
