New testimony from a former associate of Jeffrey Epstein is drawing renewed attention to the role Ghislaine Maxwell allegedly played in his inner circle. The witness described Maxwell as a powerful influence in Epstein's life, offering a perspective that has reignited public interest in one of the most scrutinized criminal cases in recent history.

The claims were made during testimony and reflect the witness's account of events. Maxwell has previously denied wrongdoing and remains the subject of extensive public and legal scrutiny.

"I always felt like she kind of turned him into the monster that he became, that she just fed him and catered to every whim that he wanted," Kellen said in her testimony.

The former aide painted Epstein as a volatile man with a terrifying temper. She recalled witnessing moments when Epstein's anger visibly frightened even Maxwell, whom she described as "the strongest, coldest woman I had met." Kellen also alleged that Maxwell regularly insulted employees and created an environment that normalized harmful behavior.

Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for trafficking underage girls to Epstein. Epstein died by apparent suicide in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges.

Kellen's testimony has intensified scrutiny of Maxwell's role in Epstein's operations. One source familiar with the case said, "The suggestion that Maxwell wasn't simply present but actively encouraged and accommodated Epstein's conduct over many years is a significant allegation."

During her time working for Epstein, Kellen encountered several high-profile individuals, including Prince Andrew and his former wife Sarah Ferguson. She recounted attending dinners at Andrew's private Buckingham Palace apartment and events such as Princess Beatrice's 2006 birthday party at Windsor Castle, where Epstein and Maxwell were also present. Harvey Weinstein, the convicted former film producer, was reportedly at the same event.

Kellen denied witnessing any inappropriate behavior by Prince Andrew and emphasized that she herself was a victim of Epstein's abuse. She alleged enduring weekly sexual assaults by Epstein, including violent episodes.

The testimony adds new details to the complex investigation into Epstein's criminal network and Maxwell's involvement.

Meanwhile, Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi recently told House lawmakers that Ghislaine Maxwell should "die in prison" and should not receive a presidential pardon, according to Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon, who spoke to The New York Post after Bondi's four-hour, transcribed interview before the House Oversight Committee.

"Females who collaborate with sex offenders are worse because they procure other victims for the sex offender," Dhillon said Bondi had told lawmakers. Dhillon also said Bondi described Maxwell as "very evil" and said her sentence should not be commuted.

The Oversight Committee is examining the Justice Department's handling of files related to financier Jeffrey Epstein, who died in a Manhattan jail cell on Aug. 10, 2019 while awaiting federal trafficking charges.

Maxwell, a longtime associate of Epstein, was convicted in late 2021 on charges that included sex-trafficking conspiracy and trafficking of a minor and is serving a 20-year federal sentence. She invoked her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination during a deposition before the Oversight Committee in February, appearing virtually from a minimum-security federal prison camp in Texas.

Her lawyer, David Oscar Markus, told The Post that Maxwell would be willing to testify "fully and honestly" if granted clemency by President Donald Trump. Markus said Maxwell was prepared to assert that Trump and former President Bill Clinton, who associated with Epstein in the 1990s and 2000s, were "innocent of any wrongdoing."

Trump has been noncommittal when asked about a pardon. In November, he said, "I haven't even thought about. I haven't thought about it for months. Maybe I haven't thought about it all," and added he would "speak to the DOJ." White House officials have repeatedly denied that clemency for Maxwell is under consideration.
