The new iPhone will reach new innovations in smartphone technology.

The iPhone 5S is expected to be announced and introduced to the world on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, Calif. Though the corporation has not revealed what they will be unveiling, the prevailing assumption is that the iPhone 5S will be introduced with an explanation of its features.

One of those features is expected to be fingerprint scanner technology. This will prevent the need for passcodes and a lock screen, which are the two main security systems for the current iPhones.

The rumor that the iPhone 5S would include a fingerprint scanner was started when a photo of the scanner was leaked by French tech site NowhereElse on Tuesday.

Enstars previously reported some of the other features that may be included in the new iPhone 5S. Apple sent out invitations to their Sept. 10 featuring the phrase, "This should brighten everyone's day," in addition to a series of multi-colored circles surrounding the Apple logo.

The invitation seems to indicate that the new iPhone line will be available in a variety of colors in addition to the standard black or white. The multi-colored iPhone line is expected to be for the iPhone SC, however. The iPhone SC will be cheaper than a standard iPhone, with the "C" likely standing for "color."

Other features for the iPhone 5S will likely be a 128GB option in addition to an improved low-light camera performance and memory bandwidth.

The Apple conference will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. PDT/1 p.m. EDT.
