Saul "Canelo" Alvarez will try to do the thing that no one else in the world of boxing has ever done, defeat Floyd Mayweather. The two will go at it on Saturday night in a super-fight that could very well change the course of boxing history.

Mayweather, is not only considered the best pound-for-pound boxer, but the top one of his generation. He has compiled 44 wins in 44 bouts, which is quite a difficult feat.

Light-middleweight champion Alvarez, who is also undefeated, will look to add a blemish to Mayweather's otherwise flawless record.

Alvarez recently stressed the historical importance of his upcoming bout, according to Mirror.

"This fight can change history, when I win this fight it will be a memorable win. This is what is motivating me," he said.

"I'm not worried about the occasion. In my career I've always been able to focus very well despite being in some very tough fights. I'm a fighter who has always been very strong mentally and very cold in my thoughts," he said.

"As a fighter you only want to face the best and at this moment in time Floyd Mayweather is considered the best. And the only way you become the best is by beating the best, so I'm looking forward to it," Alvarez added.

The Floyd Mayweather versus Saul Alvarez will take place on Saturday, Sept. 14 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest info on the fight.
