The release date for R. Kelly's upcoming album, Black Panties, will be Nov. 11, revealed at a recent listening session in Atlanta.

Two tracks -- My Story and Tear it Up -- from Black Panties have already been released. The video for My Story, which features 2 Chainz on vocals, was released on Aug. 30. The video compiles live footage, black-and-white shots of Chicago's cityscape and captures Kelly partying it up. The audio for My Story was released before Tear it Up, which was revealed to audiences as a radio rip via Nah Right on Aug. 20.

Revolt TV captured bits from the listening session, where Kelly is seen really enjoying himself with a cigar in hand as he grooves to his own music. He also discussed some of the tracks on the album and the inspirations behind them. He said that when he was a child he always wanted to get into the music industry.

"I wanted it so bad that I got it so good, once I got it so good I kind of got it so bad, because that's the nature of the gift, some people are talented and some people ar gifted, I would like to be known as one of the people who are gifted," he said. "I took my story and what I've been through and channelled it, I took my tragedy and turned it into triumph. That's when you register that you're a true champion."

He went on to describe his tale: "My story is all of this, sex, broke, money, women, clubs and even church, it's all those things mixed up into one."

Lyrics from My Story, the first single off the new album, includes the lyrics, "I went from being broke to sleeping in Versace shirts...I came from humble beginnings now I am cocky with my spending"
