Miley Cyrus is emotional in her video for Wrecking Ball released on Monday. She's also naked.

The 20-year-old only wears boots as she swings from a wrecking ball, which hangs from the ceiling. She does, however, wear a white underwear and tank top in another scene. The short-haired singer also makes out with a sledgehammer and sits amongst debris in the provocative clip.

"Don't you ever say I just walked away. I will always want you. I can't live a lie, running for my life. I will always want you," she sings as tears roll down her face.

The video comes after Cyrus' raunchy performance the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards in August. The performance reportedly cost her the cover of an upcoming issue of Vogue. The Daily Mail reported that Anna Wintour, the magazine's editor-in-chief, was so appalled that she decided to cut the singer from the December issue.

"Anna found the whole thing distasteful," a source told the website. "She decided, based on Miley's performance, to take the cover in a different direction."

The magazine has yet to comment on the validity of the allegations.

Cyrus, however, was hoping to create a performance that all would remember.

"Me and Robin (Thicke) the whole time said, 'You know, we're about to make history right now,'" Cyrus recently told MTV.

Wrecking Ball will appear on Cyrus' upcoming album, BANGERZ, expected on Oct. 8.

Sean Garrett worked with Cyrus on the album and recently told EnStars that certain songs will focus on her "personal life."

"An album is like an artist's diary... she talks about her life and what it means to her," he said. "I can't wait for people to get the opportunity to hear it."

He continued, "People may think they know what her records were going to sound like, but this record is truly about her and felt natural for her. She had a vision and knew what she wanted."
