Nick Cannon talked about his five-year marriage to Mariah Carey on Bethenny Frankel's talk show Monday and said his wife controls their relationship.

The Wild 'N Out host said the Shake It Off singer is the one in charge, though he made the admittance rather jokingly,

The 32-year-old explained himself during his appearance the premiere episode of Bethenny, which aired Monday, Sept. 9, on FOX. The talk show host, and Skinnygirl mogul, asked Cannon who "runs the show" at home with his and Carey's 2-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe. He hesitantly responded, "You want me to tell the truth? Her."

"Of course you're supposed to say that," he added. "If I said that [I run the show], I'd have to hear about it when I go home!"

Frankel said that "a lot of men make the women think they run the show, but the man really runs the show."

"That's a wise man right there," Cannon replied. "I just understand-look, my wife is my wife. I always tell people when she turns hers on, I turn mine off."

Cannon also revealed that he was intimidated by Carey upon first meeting her. The couple renewed their wedding vows for the fifth time at Disneyland on April 30, which also marked the second birthdays of their twins Moroccan and Monroe.

During his visit to the talk show Cannon taught Frankel how to properly twerk and she then took her skills to Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Cannon and Frankel also played "Would You Ever?" and the America's Got Talent host admitted he would never break up with someone over text messaging. He also said he would "absolutely" become a phone sex operator if "times got hard," which Frankel agreed with.
