Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will feature the drama surrounding the psychiatric crisis one of Kim Richards' children faces, according to Radar Online.

Richards reportedly decided to feature the storyline on the Bravo show. The self-professed alcoholic had her own treatment play out on-screen in past seasons of the reality series, and has agreed to let the world learn about the struggles her child is facing.

The unidentified young adult was taken away in July after neighbors spotted him/her naked in the street babbling. The news report stated that it chose not to name Richards' child involved in the incident.

"The child will most likely be identified, but not featured on the show," a production source revealed. "Viewers will see tender moments between Kim and her sister Kyle, as she supports her during this difficult time. Kim is handling the situation well and has stepped up big time. She is absolutely committed to getting her child help, while maintaining her ongoing sobriety."

Richards has four children with three different men, currently between the ages of 18 to early their 20s (Brooke, Whitney, Chad and Kimberly). She is not married.

The Bravo star chose to reveal details of her child's crisis on screen in order to raise awareness about mental health issues such as depression and bi-polar disorder, the insider said, adding, "she will probably go public with how it has impacted her family."

"Her child is still continuing to receive outpatient treatment since being released from the psychiatric hold."

A premiere date has not been announced for season 4 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The cast includes Richards, Kyle Richards, Brandi Glanville, Lisa Vanderpump, Yolanda Foster and Taylor Armstrong.
