As part of a fun project to celebrate New York Fashion Week and as a photo tribute to 15 supermodels, Tyra Banks posed as a doppelganger of her fellow models like Cindy Crawford, Cara DeLevingne, Kate Moss and Kate Upton.

Banks announced the project, which is simply called "Tyra Banks Presents: 15," via Twitter  on Sept. 7: "I've put my own spin on #NYFW w/ a photo tribute to some of the fiercest #SuperModels ever. Unretouched. Real. Raw."

The entire batch of 15 images will be revealed at NYFW. According to photographer Udo Spreitzenbarth's official website, the project has been described as "a series of un-retouched black and white photographs that capture Banks transformed into the embodiment of the iconic images of her colleagues, competitors, and friends."

Banks worked with photographer Udo Spreitzenbarth and creative director Ty-Ron Mayes, who was responsible for styling, hairstylist Sher Rae Tucker, and make-up artist Valente Frazier. When Spreitzenbarth and Mayes approached Banks in 2012 about working on an art project together, Banks shared her idea for 15 with them.

Banks tweeted about the experience as she posted pictures of her  posing as DeLevingne, Crawford, and Kate Moss.

"It was amazing to be transformed into my idol," she tweeted about posing as Crawford.

"Check @CindyCrawford's iconic mole & pout! BUT it's TyTy as Cindy C in the makeup chair. No retouching!" she added.

Seems like it took some more time transforming into Delevingne: "4 hours of hair & makeup later, I've become übermodel"
