Kim Kardashian, who shied away from the limelight since giving birth to North West in June, is focused on being a great mother, according to her personal trainer.

"She's amazing and so connected," Tracy Anderson told EnStars about Kardashian's parenting skills on Tuesday. "I knew she was going to be a great mom when I trained her during the pregnancy. She was concerned with all of the right things."

Anderson, who has visited Kardashian and her daughter North, said the reality star isn't rushing to get back into shape. She's more concerned with her firstborn.

"Kim is actually just taking as much time as she wants to just be with the baby," she told reporters at Us Weekly's party during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City.

Yet, critics tend to harp on the post-baby bodies of celebrities. This is an aspect of Hollywood life that Anderson detests. While she mentioned tabloids' habit of altering post-baby photos, she also pointed out another negative.

"There's something really wrong with trying to manipulate people into thinking that there's some secret that [celebrities] have that you guys don't or there's some superhuman unnatural force that they were given that they just bounce back," she said about stars after pregnancy.

The workout guru, who also trains Jennifer Lopez and Gwyneth Paltrow, spoke of her own experience with giving birth to her daughter, Penelope, 15 months ago. Despite her years of fitness knowledge, Anderson said it even took her a significant amount of time to get her toned body back. Whether a woman is a celebrity or not, she shouldn't be discouraged, Anderson explained, adding that "consistency is really important."
