In Season 3 of Hawaii Five-O, Lieutenant Catherine Rollins' decision to switch jobs and work with a former boyfriend might cause Steve McGarrett to get jealous.
Peter Lenkov, the show's executive producer spoke to TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich about the upcoming season. Mitovich answered a fan's question regarding Catherine (Michelle Borth) and Steve's (Jack Lord) relationship:
"Show boss Peter M. Lenkov told me that Catherine will be going 'through a life change' as she leaves the Navy to work for her sorta-ex Billy's private security company - and with Steve's blessing. At least for now. 'McGarrett, not being the jealous type, is going to insist that she take the job - and he's going to end up regretting that,' Lenkov chuckles. 'You'll see McGarrett a little vulnerable, which is fun.'"
In the first episode, Aloha ke kahi I ke kahi, of Season 4, McGarrett will also break the law so he can find his kidnapped girlfriend Rollins (Michelle Borth). Steve and WoFat will also make a narrow escape from maximum security prison.
This season, Chi McBride is the major new addition to the cast. He will be playing the role of SWAT Captain Lou Grover, a character who appeared on the original 1970s program.
Season 4 will include a number of other guest stars, such as Melanie Griffith and Nick Jonas. Griffith will be playing the role of Detective Danny "Danno" Williams' (Scott Caan) mother. Other guest stars include Rumer Willis, Terry O'Quinn, Carol Burnett, and Rebecca DeMornay.
Season 4 premieres on CBS on Friday, Sept. 27.
